I wanted to create this blog for quite a few years. My first hang up was what to call it. I wanted to evoke peace and serenity within the readers. I went through a few brainstorming sessions before deciding on Babbling Brook – A Moment in Time. ‘Babbling Brook’ because it is peaceful to sit next to a babbling brook. The tinkling sounds of the rushing water while sitting next to one – or even walking alongside one – is soothing to my anxious soul. ‘A Moment in Time’ came from when I would stop to take a moment to notice the gorgeous clouds in the sky. If you have not done that, I really recommend it!
My goal with this blog is to help you by sharing the resources and information I learned on my path in reducing my anxiety. In the About section I explain this path and why I felt compelled to do this blog. At my previous place of employment, I enjoyed sharing the stress relief resources and techniques I have discovered my journey with others. Some activities I did were more formal, like presenting stress relief workshops and teaching Tai Chi for Balance while others were informal with the water fountain, diffuser, relaxing music, salt lamp, and the all-important emergency chocolate in the office! People would walk into the office and remark how calming and relaxing it was in there, and some came in there just to relax a little bit when stressed!
